ABOUT THIS BLOG
What can you find here?
The idea for this blog came about during the first several weeks of the pandemic of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States. Members of First Church in Cambridge were sharing such meaningful and rich reflections, poetry, and spiritual practices that were helping them make it through. This blog will serve as a way for us to document and to share how we learn and grow together. This is us finding out how to do church in new ways during this time of "social distancing."
We know that our community has so many spiritual and practical resources at our disposal and hope that this blog will be a place for us to gather as the body of Christ virtually to share what we have been given with one another and with the wider community.
On this website, you will find posts about our current liturgical season, about ways to think about our faith in times of crisis, spiritual and practical resources, and resources specific to the needs of Children and Families. You can also navigate to further information about our online programming and our live stream worship on our main website by clicking on the pages in the navigation bar.
Finally, This is a place to contribute to the wisdom of our community. There is a place to connect on our forum by signing up for a login for the site. You can also submit resources that you have found helpful or a reflection on an experience you've had for consideration to be posted on the blog through the Contact page.
We hope that this virtual space will be water that will nourish our spirits in this time of desert and wilderness in the world. Please sign up so that you can be notified as new posts are published! Looking forward to taking this journey with you all!
